Let me count the ways..

Like waking up to warm buttered raisin toast and a steaming mug of tea on a cold autumn morning;
Like standing so very still on a tree-lined sidewalk, eyes closed and listening to the whisper of leaves rustling in the cool summer breeze;
Like sharing a smile with a complete stranger;
Like being tucked into bed and kissed gently on the forehead in answer to your murmured goodnights;
Like being told you’re beautiful dressed in nothing but your crummiest t-shirt and ripped jeans, with your red and runny nose and flyaway hair;
Like finishing each other’s sentences;
Like knowing that you’re thinking the same thoughts the minute you look up and catch each other’s eye;
Like loving the same books and having your bodies instinctively move to the same music;
Like being angry and then forgiving and forgetting it all in a second;
There are so many messages of love.
Mine just arrived bubble-wrapped in a padded envelope.
To tell me that you thought of me, that you know me, that you wish for me joy and dreams and life.
I love your gifts.
Thank you.

I'm glad it arrived safely. The CD is a great Hillsong Women teaching. I hope you're inspired by it. :) Love, Gen
